Required Ports

The following ports must be open (Allow All / Inbound + Outbound) on your VPS firewall for VPBoost to work:

Allow	TCP/UDP	`27000 – 29000`	Game server ports, master server heartbeats & challenges, player traffic.
Allow	TCP	`8069`	VPBoost Agent API.
Allow	TCP	`443`	HTTPS API calls to `counter-strike-boost.com`.

Important: The installer only opens TCP 8069. You must open the game port range yourself.

Agent Env File

Main env file location:

/etc/agent/vpboost/vpboost-agent.env

All values from this file are loaded by systemd into the agent process. The Redirects binary inherits them when the agent starts it.

Set Env With One Command

Example profile for debug mode + persistent screen logs:

Live Logs / Crash Investigation

Most useful commands:

# service logs
journalctl -u vpboost-agent -f

# redirect screen logs (chunk mode)
tail -f /root/vpboost/screen_red-all-1.log

# list active screen sessions
screen -ls

If screen_red-all-1.log does not appear, set VPBOOST_SCREEN_LOGS=1 and restart the service.

Config Source Flow

install.sh creates initial files and systemd service.

vpboost-agent.env is loaded by systemd on service start.

Agent reads env defaults from config.go if var missing.

Agent starts Redirects; Redirects inherits env and reads getenv().

Redirects fetches runtime data from API endpoints (/api/getredirectconfig, /api/getports).
