Steam players hear each other but non-Steam players are silent, one-way or robotic? Walk the ReVoice chain from the server stack to the client and find the exact link that breaks.

Why non-steam clients can claim an admin's SteamID, how Reunion's SteamIdHashSalt closes the hole, and how to authenticate admins so they cannot be impersonated.

When every non-Steam player shares one id, admin access and bans by SteamID collapse. Fix it with sv_lan 0 and a correct Reunion SteamIdHashSalt and client-id modes.

Let non-Steam CS 1.6 clients connect: Reunion on ReHLDS or dproto on HLDS, the mandatory SteamIdHashSalt, and how admin identification changes when SteamIDs are not real.

A straight comparison of dproto and Reunion for non-Steam CS 1.6 servers: which engine each targets, how they handle SteamIDs and protocol 47/48, and why ReHLDS plus Reunion is the 2026 default.

Why non-Steam players share STEAM_ID_LAN or get colliding IDs even with Reunion loaded, how the SteamIdHashSalt and cid modes work, why Reunion refuses to load without a long salt, and how to verify stable IDs.

Non-Steam clients get rejected at connect because your server has no non-Steam auth provider. Install and configure Reunion on ReHLDS or dproto on HLDS the right way.

A line-by-line guide to reunion.cfg on ReHLDS: the mandatory SteamIdHashSalt, the cid_ client-provider modes, how Steam and non-Steam share one identity space, and why the salt must never change.

Install Reunion on a ReHLDS server so both Steam and non-Steam clients can connect, and set the SteamIdHashSalt correctly so it actually loads.
